This 8-day safari tour will cover the 4 most popular destinations in Tanzania: Tarangire, Lake Natron, the Central Serengeti, and Ngorongoro Crater. The tour starts and ends in Arusha, and with our experienced driver guides, it will be a trip of a lifetime!
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport. Transfer to your budget accommodation in Arusha. Meet your safari guide, go over the itinerary, and prepare for the adventure ahead. Overnight in Arusha.
Day 2: Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park (approximately 2-3 hours). Full-day game drive in Tarangire, known for its large herds of elephants, baobab trees, and diverse wildlife. Picnic lunch in the park. Set up a budget camping site for the night inside the park or in a nearby campsite.
Day 3: Lake Natron
Depart Tarangire and head towards Lake Natron (approximately 4-5 hours). En-route visit a local Maasai village to learn about their culture and traditions.
Explore the surreal landscapes of Lake Natron and see the resident flamingos. Set up a budget camping site near Lake Natron for the night.
Day 4: Lake Natron and Waterfall Hike
Explore Lake Natron further in the morning, perhaps take a guided hike to the Ngare Sero Waterfall. After lunch, continue your journey towards Serengeti National Park (approximately 4-5 hours). Arrive at the Serengeti and set up a budget camping site. Evening relaxation and dinner around the campfire.
Day 5-6: Serengeti National Park
Spend two full days exploring the vast plains of the Serengeti, famous for its annual wildebeest migration. Morning and afternoon game drives to spot the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino), as well as other wildlife.
